Making A Yummy Fudge
Cake
This is a great cake to make throughout the year.
Who doesn't like warm cake with a scoop of cool ice
cream? Very easy to make and economical as well.
You can always make your own ice cream as well.
We've made homemade vanilla ice cream and the kids
had a good time helping crank the old ice cream
machine. Modern ice cream makers are great as well -
but we like the fun and family time you get with
everyone gathered around taking turns and helping.
This cake is best served warm - but you can always
microwave leftovers and enjoy as well.
This will become a family favorite and yearly
tradition. It is at our house!
Don't forget that you can add whip cream and a
cherry if you like it that way. Some folks sprinkle
on nuts as well. It's however you like it.
Ingredients for Your Cake
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
3 TBSP cocoa
1 TBSP baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
3 TBSP oil
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Preparing Your CakeMix well and spread evenly in 9x13
pan.
Mix following ingredients and
sprinkle on top
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
Pour 2 2/3 cups *hot* water over
the top and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Serve It Warm
Serve warm with ice cream.
