Agnes Peregrine is special. She
can call birds. In fact, Agnes can call just about
any bird in the world. Agnes' talent is so great, in
fact, the World Bird Society assigns her the task of
calling and locating the pink-headed duck.
The fact that no-one has seen a
pink-headed duck in decades only inspires our
heroine to "get quacking"! Little does she suspect
that across the Atlantic Ocean, Edwin Pittsnap
weaves a plot, involving Agnes, to capture the
pink-headed duck for his own collection.
Fortunately for Agnes, her
bird-calling ability is rivaled only by her
resourcefulness!
This is a funny, enjoyable read
for children ages 5-9. Younger children will enjoy
the humorous story, while older children can
appreciate the ornithology cleverly sprinkled about
the book.
