Cooking Disaster

My worst cooking experience was when I tried to cook "southern fried turkey legs" to impress my hubby. I was supposed to use a covered skillet, but this was during college so I didn't have one. Instead I used a small frying pan and tried to cover it with a cookie sheet. It wouldn't stay down b/c the turkey legs were too big, so I piled some other pots and pans on top to weigh it down. When Kent came home, the kitchen was full of smoke and he about died laughing when he saw the smoking pile on the stove. We tried to eat them but they were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside, so we ended up throwing them away. I haven't tried making turkey legs since, "Southern-fried" or otherwise.
