Early in the morning, before the sun rises high,
gather your rose petals. In the shade, lay out a
half-inch-thick layer of newspapers and spread your
petals out on that to dry, sprinkling them with
salt.
Ten days later, add:
1/4 ounce ground cloves
1/4 ounce ground mace
1 ounce of your favorite cologne (or 1 drop of rose
geranium oil)
Mix well and put into a decorative
jar with a close-fitting lid.
