Materials : dice, crayons, master
graph, small stickers or paint
Preparation : Cover each side of
your dice with either small stickers (one design per
side) or a dot of paint. To make a master graph,
draw a six column by 15 row (or more) graph. Boxes
should be at least 1 inch x 1 inch. Place a single
sticker or dab of paint at the bottom of each column
on the graph.
To Play : Have your child roll the
dice. Next, have them color in a single box in the
column which corresponds with the sticker or paint
color rolled. Continue rolling the dice and graphing
the result. The first sticker/color column to be
completely colored is the 'winner'.
During and after the game, compare
the length of each column with your child. This is a
good way to demonstrate the concept of most, least,
etc.
