Walking Through the Snow Game

by Catie Gosselin of WomanLinks.com

skills : imagination, coordination, gross motor

Since many of us have quite a bit of snow this time of the year, this is a fun game that little ones really get into.

First, have your youngster pretend to get suited up and then walk through the snow. Ask him/her to show you how they would walk if the snow was up to their knees/waist/neck. How would they walk in the snow if they were only wearing a bathing suit? How would you walk through the snow backwards??? How would a horse, bunny, turtle, (animals of your choice) walk through so much snow???

Follow this up by reading 'Snowy Day' by Ezra Jack Kits to your child and making paper snowflakes.
