Swedish Butter Cookies

Christmas is when we celebrate our family heritage. Both sides of my family came from Sweden so we make Swedish Butter Cookies

SWEDISH BUTTER COOKIES
1 lb butter
2 C sugar
2 eggs
1/8 teas. salt
3 C flour
1/4 teas. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar together; blend in eggs, vanilla and salt. Add gradually 3 cups of flour; Press into bake tins. Bake in a 375 degree oven until the sides are brown. Overturn tins on a cookie sheet until the cookies fall out. Yield 3 doz.

Tip: I put the dough around the tops of the fluted tins and when the cookies bake the dough melts down to the bottom. By doing it this way there is not so much dough at the bottom. I got my tins at ACE Hardware, but I've seen them in several specialty stores.
