My Toy Shelf

When I woke up this morning and looked at my toy shelf, my teddy bear was knocked down, and he was all by himself!

I know I picked up my toys - like I do every night, but most of them were missing. Something just wasn't right.

I searched around my room to see what I could find. Underneath my bed was Mr. Lion and my puppet, and it really blew my mind.

My train was parked on a new track, and my action figures were scattered around. It looked like a tornado hit my room because I found more toys on the ground.

I wondered all day long why things didn't seem right. What could all my toys possibly be doing while I was asleep at night?

So when bed time came around and Momma tucked me in, I closed my eyes and went to sleep, but it was just pretend.

I heard my toys jump off the shelf and run around and play. I never knew how much fun they were because they were so quiet during the day.

My action figures rode the train and watched over everything while Mr. Lion chased the puppet. It was really quite a scene.

I couldn't believe my eyes or what I was seeing, but when the sun began to rise all the toys went back to sleeping.

I never told a soul. Who would believe me? But you can see your toys play too if you watch them carefully.
