By Jeanna Taylor
(to the tune of “Oh My Darlin’ Clementine” or “Found
a Peanut”):
Found a bug,
found a bug,
found a BUG just now,
I just now found a bug,
found a bug just now.
It was dead,
It was dead,
It was DEAD just now
Just now it was dead,
it was dead just now.
Showed mama,
showed mama,
showed MAMA just now,
just now I showed mama,
showed mama just now.
She said put that down,
put that down,
put that DOWN right now,
right now put that down,
oooooh! Put that down right now.
But I ate it,
But I ate it,
But I ATE it right now,
right now I ate it,
but I ate it right now.
She said spit that out,
spit that out,
spit that OUT right now,
right now spit that out,
spit that out right now.
But I swallowed,
but I swallowed,
but I SWALLOWED just now,
just now I swallowed,
I swallowed just now.
Mama screamed,
Mama screamed,
Mama SCREAMED just now
just now Mama screamed,
Mama screamed just now.
She scared me,
she scared me,
she SCARED me just now,
just now she scared me,
mama scared me just now.
Mama said we don’t eat bugs,
it’s nasty,
we don’t eat BUGS right now,
right now we don’t eat bugs,
it’s nasty we don’t eat bugs.
I see another bug,
gotta get it,
gotta GET it right now,
Mama’s coming gotta hurray,
got to get it right now.
Then I got it,
got the bug,
whoops! Mama TACKLED me just now,
I’m pinned under Mama,
and she stole my bug just now!
I cried,
I cried,
I CRIED right now,
right now I cried,
I cried right now.
Where’s my daddy,
where’s my daddy,
where’s my DADDY just now,
just now where’s my daddy,
where’s my Daddy just now!
