Backyard Ice Rink


Make your own backyard rink!

Level off a 3 - 4" layer of firmly packed snow, leaving a ridge of snow around outer edge. On a day below freezing point, spray water on patch to form a crust. When that freezes, start adding water for ice. Every day, spray rink surface with more water to gradually increase to desired thickness. To add rink markings, paint food coloring onto ice.
